Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform quantity take-offs and measurements for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Support the preparation of detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and budgets for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Assist senior commercial team members during tendering stages, including inquiry preparation, pricing, and submission support.
- Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations and help prepare comparison sheets and cost summaries.
- Monitor project expenditures by tracking material consumption, labor costs, and site progress against budgets.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly progress valuations, variation orders, and cost reports.
- Maintain organized records of measurements, contracts, change orders, and project-related documentation.
- Coordinate with site teams, procurement, and planning departments to ensure accurate cost and quantity reporting.
- Support final account reconciliation and assist with project handover and close-out documentation.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, commercial management, or construction projects (internships and graduate training considered).
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD and estimating/take-off tools is preferred.
- Fundamental understanding of measurement standards, cost control principles, and tendering procedures.
