Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope of work.
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material take-offs.
- Develop cost plans, estimates, and tender documents.
- Evaluate contractor quotations and prepare comparative statements.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure costs remain within approved budgets.
- Assess and certify contractors’ interim payment applications.
- Prepare and evaluate variation orders and cost impact assessments.
- Manage contractual claims, extensions of time, and dispute documentation.
- Conduct site visits to verify progress and completed work quantities.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and contractors on cost-related matters.
- Assist in final account preparation and project close-out documentation.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2-3years of experience in quantity surveying within construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC knowledge is an advantage).
- Experience in cost control, contract administration, and commercial management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying software (e.g., CCS, Plan Swift, or similar).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and financial management skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
