Job Description:
The Maternal Optimism and Reproductive Empowerment (MORE) Collective at New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing is seeking a Junior Research Associate. Reporting to the Principal Investigator or their designee, the Research Associate will assist the team with community engagement, data collection, data analysis, and dissemination activities. This is a part-time hybrid position for 10 hours per week supporting our Community Advisory Board and research activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop content for the Community Advisory Board newsletter
- Design study recruitment materials
- Review recordings of Community Advisory Board meetings and summarize content in an accessible, community-facing manner
- Support selected Community Advisory Board meetings as a note taker, audio-visual manager, break-out room facilitator, or similar roles
- Screencast manuscript readings for the Community Advisory Board
- Participate in data collection, data analysis, and dissemination
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Must be self-motivated, flexible, proactive, and able to work independently, as well as perform as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to research, organize, analyze, and synthesize information effectively.
- Demonstrates sound judgement in problem-solving and when responding to issues and concerns
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Google Suite, Canva
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is $30. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
