Location:Coimbatore / Chennai / Bengaluru

Role Purpose

To execute and support the development of robotic scanning and vision-based automation workflows. The engineer will work hands-on with industrial robotic arms, sensors, and vision systems to achieve automated waypoint planning, 3D data acquisition, and trajectory validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and control 6-DOF collaborative robots using ROS and MoveIt.
  • Develop and execute Cartesian path planning, TF configuration, and waypoint execution.
  • Perform camera integration and hand–eye calibration for depth and vision sensors.
  • Capture and process point cloud data for object detection and surface coverage analysis.
  • Assist in simulation environment setup (Gazebo / Webots / RoboDK..etc).
  • Debug ROS nodes, launch files, and URDFs related to robot and sensor integration.
  • Support 3D data processing using Open3D / PCL and automate mesh generation (STL / PLY).
  • Maintain test logs, documentation, and version control for all experiments.

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with ROS 1 / ROS 2, MoveIt, and robot kinematics.
  • Proficiency in Python or C++ for ROS node development.
  • Understanding of depth cameras or vision sensors.
  • Knowledge of point clouds, coordinate frames, and mesh formats.
  • Familiarity to robot simulation tools (Gazebo, Webots, RoboDK..etc).
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving mindset
