Junior SecOps Engineer

Assist in the monitoring and management of security tools and technologies to enhance organizational security posture.
Support incident response activities by investigating alerts and helping to resolve security incidents.
Participate in routine vulnerability assessments and security audits.
Help maintain and update security documentation and procedures.
Collaborate with team members to implement security policies and procedures.
Engage in continuous learning to develop skills in SecOps and cybersecurity practices.
Assist in the maintenance of cloud infrastructures and services from a security standpoint.
Support the implementation and improvement of security monitoring solutions.
Document findings and contribute to reports on security assessments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in a security-focused role or internship.
Basic knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
Familiarity with cloud security concepts and platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
Understanding of networking concepts, firewall management, and intrusion detection systems.
Basic scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Willingness to learn about security tools (e.g., SIEM, antivirus, IDS/IPS) and cloud security solutions.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) are a plus but not mandatory.
