About this Role

Bitwise has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Software Engineer. Our team of Analysts and Engineers is motivated by the direct impact on the mission, crafting specialized tools for enhanced efficiency and quick iterations for our operations user base. Seeing your tools in real-time action brings immediate gratification. This premier program encompasses traditional software services including Systems Design and Engineering, Database Administration, Data Science and Knowledge Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Integration and Test, as well as Operations and Systems Support. The program is characterized by innovation and excitement, fostering meaningful engagements, and offering distinctive collaboration opportunities with users, policy makers, and mission leadership, all while maintaining a service mindset. • Assist in the development, maintenance, and automated build and deployment of applications
• Learn and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to manage cloud environments
• Use Python to build backend services and automate processes
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of modern web applications and APIs
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and integrate solutions across various platforms

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Candidates without a current clearance will not be considered.
• Basic proficiency in a programming language such as Python
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD concepts
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) fundamentals
• Familiarity with web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Strong curiosity and willingness to learn AI/ML technologies and other emerging tools
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline OR Four (4) additional years in lieu of a degree

Pay Range

This position is hourly. We estimate you'll earn between $113,000 and $160,000 annually, including our flex income, depending upon your annual work hours.
