Junior Specialist Operations & Maintenance

JOB SUMMARY:

Specializing in BTS sites with expertise in AC, DC, and Generator system. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliable operation of Telecommunications Power infrastructure. Candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing power systems for BTS sites within designated cluster, with a strong focus on controlling operating expenses & meeting customer SLAs.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Take ownership of a designated cluster of BTS sites and ensure Sites performance as per defined KPIs/SLAs.
• Ensure efficient Operation and Maintenance of AC, DC, Solar and Generator systems.
• Implement best practices for power system management ensuring high quality Preventive Maintenance and timely Corrective Maintenance
• Monitor and maintain AC and DC power systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Sites analysis using Remote Monitoring System for OPex (CP, Fuel) planning and control.
• Manage backup power sources, including Generators and Batteries.
• Troubleshoot and resolve power-related issues promptly.
• Develop and execute cost-effective strategies to control operating expenses related to power systems focusing on Fueling and CP charges.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of Sites to ensure Vendor’s Activities related to Preventive and Corrective Maintenance.
• Maintain detailed records of power system performance, Maintenance activities, and Opex expenditures.
• Ensure accurate and timely closure of trouble tickets, documenting the correct Root Cause (RFO).
• Quickly identify and resolve RMS malfunctions or data inconsistencies
• Manage remote site access and network asset security using IoT-enabled solutions. Ensuring complete validation and realization of Opex (Commercial power kWh and diesel consumption)
• Perform quality handover of new sites from rollout to Operations, ensuring no critical or major snags persist at sites during ATP.
• monthly KPI/SLA reconciliation activities with the customer to verify service performance and ensure timely and accurate invoice generation.
• Ensure timely response to customer escalations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

A. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (BE/B.Tech) in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunications OR related discipline.

B. Minimum Experience:

• 2-4 years of related experience.

C. Functional Expertise (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

• Proven experience in managing AC, DC, Solar, and Generator systems in the Telecommunications industry.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel to BTS sites within the cluster.
• Availability for emergency response and on-call duties.
