JUNIOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Junior System Administrator to join our IT team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate must be locally available and ready to join immediately, with hands-on experience in system administration, user support, and infrastructure maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers and systems
• Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability of IT infrastructure
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access (Active Directory)
• Support Windows/Linux servers and desktop environments
• Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
• Assist in network administration (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls)
• Maintain system documentation, logs, and inventory records
• Support IT security practices, including antivirus, firewalls, and access control
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior administrators when required

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Junior System Administrator or similar IT support role
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and backup systems
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Must be currently residing in Bahrain
• Available for immediate joining

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Certifications such as MCSA, CompTIA Server+, Network+, or equivalent
• Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS) is an advantage
• Knowledge of virtualization tools like VMware or Hyper-V
