Position: Junior Stability Technician

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and challenged individual to be our next Junior Stability Technician to perform qualitative and quantitative testing of products, prepare and label all stability samples, print schedules, and pull samples from the chambers for testing and return samples to their proper locations.

What you'll do:- Obtains the filled samples to be put on stability from lab personnel. (Production samples, laboratory batch samples, or competitive/customer commercial products)
- Creates labels and assigns chamber shelve locations for samples.
- Stores stability samples in the appropriate environmental chambers/rooms, as prescribed by the stability protocols.
- Prints weekly schedules. At the required time intervals, ensures that samples are removed from the storage location and that proper identification is assigned to the sample.
- According to study protocols, performs testing on stability samples; color, odor, appearance, pH, viscosity, etc. and package evaluations as well as functional testing such as pump activation and dispensing. Alerts supervisor and chemists of any abnormal or unexpected test results.
- Enters data into the Micro Control Solutions Software Database. Creates and files reports.
- Enters data into the stability test sheets. Creates reports and alerts supervisor and chemists of any abnormal or unexpected test results.
- Organizes stability samples for disposal/destruction once a study is complete.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Familiar with testing equipment such as but not limited to: Viscometers, pH meters, Water bath, Colorimeter or other color analysis techniques, Balances, Ovens, Refrigerator/Freezer unit, Microscope, etc.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a Stability Testing Department for Cosmetics, OTC, and Pharmaceutical or Household industry. A combination of vocational training; education and experience that are equivalent to the employment standards listed above and provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to chemical fumes resulting from the compounding/batch making process. Employee will be provided with the required safety breathing masks as required. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
