Junior UI/UX Designer

Phantasm is a creative tech studio based in Cairo, blending art, innovation, and engineering to deliver impactful digital experiences. We serve clients across the EU and GCC with a diverse range of services, including gamified interactive products, AI-powered tools, serious games, and entertainment games with a purpose. In addition to client work, we develop our own original IPs that reflect our mission: promoting Islamic and Arabic identity and culture through technology and storytelling.

Junior UI/UX Designer

About the Role

We’re looking for a curious, detail-oriented Junior UI/UX Designer to help craft intuitive, beautiful experiences across web and mobile. If you love games and interactive products, you’ll feel right at home. Many of our projects have playful mechanics and gamified flows.

What You’ll Do

Collaborate with product, engineering, and content to translate requirements into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs.

Build interactive prototypes to communicate ideas and validate solutions.

Contribute to design systems: components, tokens, and documentation.

Run or support UX research: quick interviews, surveys, and usability tests.

Iterate based on data, feedback, and usability findings.

Prepare and hand off developer-ready assets with clear specs.

Requirements

Interactive design related bachelor degree or solid experience in the field.

A solid portfolio showing end-to-end UI/UX work (coursework and internships welcome).

Proficiency in Figma (Auto-layout, components, prototyping).

Understanding of interaction design, accessibility basics, and mobile-first responsive design.

Clear communication, openness to feedback, and a growth mindset.

Bonus points:

A passion for games and player-centric UX.

Familiarity with Unity UI/UX , game HUDs, or gamification patterns

GUC background (Applied Arts, or related).
