Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to K–12 students in Math and/or ELA
- Assess students’ current skill levels and identify learning gaps
- Develop and follow personalized lesson plans based on student needs
- Help students with homework, test preparation (including iLearn), and skill building
- Track student progress and provide feedback to parents and the tutoring coordinator
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
- Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging learning environment
- Communicate regularly regarding scheduling, student updates, and progress
- Arrive on time and maintain professionalism in all sessions (in-person or online)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree (Education, Math, English, or related field preferred)
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred (not required for strong candidates)
- Strong understanding of K–12 Math and/or ELA concepts
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles
- Comfortable working with students of varying academic levels
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Comfortable with in-person and/or online tutoring
- Access to reliable transportation (for in-person sessions)
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2.0 – 10.0 per week
