K/1-5th Grade Program Staff/Assistant
Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time K/1-5th Grade Program Staff to join our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Support classroom management by fostering a positive environment that encourages respectful behavior and active participation.
- Provide individualized tutoring and mentoring to students
- Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
- Collaborate with Lead teachers to adapt instructional materials for diverse learners
- Support classroom activities that promote childhood development, literacy education, and physical activity while ensuring safety and well-being.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy/math instruction.
- Experience working with students
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, students, and families.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods using learning technology and library services to meet individual student needs.
- Demonstrated understanding of childhood development stages and best practices in working with children of various ages from K/1 through 5th grade.
- Posses a valid drivers license is highly preferred
- Willingness to operate a 15 passenger van (must be at least 21 years old)
- Must pass a drug screen test
- Clear a background check
