Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time K/1-5th Grade Program Staff to join our vibrant educational community. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment for young learners. Your energy and passion for early childhood and elementary education will help foster a love of learning, support individual student needs, and promote positive classroom experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to curriculum development, implement innovative teaching strategies, and collaborate with a dynamic team of educators committed to student success.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
  • Support classroom management by fostering a positive environment that encourages respectful behavior and active participation.
  • Provide individualized tutoring and mentoring to students
  • Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
  • Collaborate with Lead teachers to adapt instructional materials for diverse learners
  • Support classroom activities that promote childhood development, literacy education, and physical activity while ensuring safety and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy/math instruction.
  • Experience working with students
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, students, and families.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods using learning technology and library services to meet individual student needs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of childhood development stages and best practices in working with children of various ages from K/1 through 5th grade.
  • Posses a valid drivers license is highly preferred
  • Willingness to operate a 15 passenger van (must be at least 21 years old)
  • Must pass a drug screen test
  • Clear a background check
