K2-K6 Math Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and engaging Online Elementary Math Teacher to teach students in China from K2 to K6. The ideal candidate should be familiar with elementary-level math instruction, able to create clear and structured lessons, and comfortable teaching in an online environment.

This position is especially suitable for teachers who are passionate about helping young learners build strong math foundations, develop problem-solving skills, and prepare for advanced math learning or competitions.

Responsibilities

Teach online math classes for K2-K6 students, primarily Chinese-speaking students.

Deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and structured math lessons.

Help students build strong foundations in arithmetic, geometry, word problems, logical reasoning, and problem-solving.

Adapt teaching methods based on each student’s level, learning style, and academic goals.

Provide regular feedback to students and parents regarding progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.

Prepare lesson materials, homework, quizzes, and enrichment exercises as needed.

Support students preparing for math competitions or advanced math programs when applicable.

Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging online classroom environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Education, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.

Experience teaching elementary school math, especially grades K2-K6.

Experience teaching students from China or other international backgrounds is a strong plus.

Mandarin Chinese ability is strongly preferred, especially for communication with younger students or parents.

Valid U.S. teaching credential or state-issued teaching license is highly preferred.

Experience tutoring math competitions, math enrichment programs, or advanced problem-solving courses is preferred.

Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to explain math concepts clearly.

Comfortable using online teaching platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, ClassIn, or similar tools.

Reliable internet connection and a professional online teaching setup.

Preferred Qualification

Certified U.S. teacher with elementary education or mathematics endorsement.

Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Prior experience with Singapore Math, Common Core Math, Beast Academy, Math Kangaroo, MOEMS, AMC 8 preparation, or similar programs.

Experience designing customized lesson plans for individual students or small groups.

Familiarity with the learning habits and academic expectations of Chinese families.

Part-time position with fully flexible hours.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
