About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a K9 Assistant Manager - Protective Security Operation to join the resort’s Security team.

Responsibilities

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Implement K9 program policies and procedures.
• Coordinate training schedules, certifications, and recertifications for dogs and handlers.
• Maintain accurate records of K9 health, training, and certifications.
• Organize and execute training sessions; evaluate effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Mediate employee concerns and resolve conflicts professionally.
• Provide feedback, guidance, and mentorship to develop team performance.
• Communicate clearly and tailor messages to different audiences.
• Monitor and manage inventory of K9 equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate daily K9 operations, including deployment schedules and resource allocation.
• Prepare operational reports and performance metrics for management review.
• Support procurement processes, vendor coordination, and budget tracking for K9 operations.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal standards for K9 operations.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and investigations involving K9 units.
• Collaborate with other security teams and external agencies to integrate K9 operations.
• Maintain confidentiality and strong relationships with regulatory authorities and emergency services.
  
  

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Previous experience investigating gaming and point of sale irregularities in a casino or similar
• Bachelor’s degree in Security or related field (preferred).
• Certification in K9 Training from recognized authority (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in K9 explosive detection (required).
• 3+ years in cargo screening or critical infrastructure security (preferred).
• Prior law enforcement or military K9 experience (preferred).
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to operational demands.
• Deep understanding of canine behavior and training techniques.
• Expertise in K9 health management (diet, exercise, veterinary care).
• Familiarity with emergency response protocols and risk management.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for K9 operations.
• Skilled in K9 equipment handling and performance evaluation.
