Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Kerala Chef to prepare authentic Kerala and South Indian cuisine while maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, hygiene, and presentation. The chef will specialize in traditional Kerala dishes, spices, seafood preparations, and regional cooking techniques to provide an excellent dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Kerala dishes such as appam, puttu, Kerala parotta, fish curry, beef fry, biryani, avial, thoran, and other regional specialties.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
- Prepare traditional masalas, curries, gravies, and spice blends.
- Manage food preparation, cooking schedules, and kitchen operations efficiently.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in purchasing ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
- Minimize food wastage and control kitchen costs.
- Develop and update menus with traditional and modern Kerala cuisine options.
- Supervise and train kitchen assistants or junior cooks when required.
- Ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Kerala Chef or South Indian Chef.
- Strong knowledge of Kerala cuisine, spices, and traditional cooking methods.
- Ability to prepare seafood, vegetarian, and non-vegetarian Kerala dishes.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good organizational and teamwork skills.
- Culinary training or certification is an advantage.

Pay: QAR1,800.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
