Role: Dy. Manager - Key Account

What you’ll do:

Own day-to-day account management for major modern trade & SAMT outlets (e.g., Reliance, D-Mart, Star Bazaar) and act as the primary operational contact for store/DC teams

Deliver month-on-month Net Sales Value (NSV), volume, and margin targets in coordination with the KAM

Execute Joint Business Plan (JBP) elements locally: promotional calendars, launch support, pricing compliance, and logistics follow-up

Ensure on-shelf availability (OSA) by monitoring stock levels, raising replenishment alerts, and coordinating with distributors/DCs
-
Implement merchandising and activation plans including secondary displays, POS setup, in-store sampling, and short-term promotions

Verify retail pricing and MRP compliance and resolve discrepancies with store teams

Supervise and coach field staff (merchandisers/sales officers) including daily routing, KPIs, and regular audits

Perform store audits and planogram checks; manage returns, expiry control, and invoice reconciliation

Prepare timely reports: weekly sell-through, OSA, inventory days, promotional performance, and NSV vs target

Capture shopper and competitor insights from field visits and recommend tactical adjustments to marketing and trade teams
Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing; MBA preferred

Strong experience in key account management, preferably in FMCG, general trade, or retail sector

Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills with retail buying teams and DC managers

Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills

Analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and comfort with sales dashboards and reporting

Ability to create concise business presentations and influence leadership

Leadership and team coaching experience if managing field staff

High level of ownership, results orientation, and problem-solving ability
