Commercial Landscape Account Manager (Maintenance) – Houston, TXPosition Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Landscape Account Manager to oversee and manage commercial landscape maintenance accounts in the Houston area. This role is responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring quality service delivery, and managing field operations across multiple properties.
The ideal candidate has a solid background in landscape maintenance and irrigation, is highly organized, and can operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial landscape maintenance accounts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality and contract compliance
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance crews and subcontractors
- Identify and propose enhancements, repairs, and irrigation improvements
- Manage irrigation system performance, troubleshooting, and scheduling
- Prepare proposals, estimates, and service recommendations
- Handle client communication, requests, and issue resolution
- Oversee job budgets, track costs, and maintain profitability
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance or account management
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and irrigation systems
- Ability to diagnose irrigation issues and recommend solutions
- Experience managing multiple properties and priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Ability to read landscape and irrigation plans (preferred)
- Proficient with basic technology (email, scheduling, reports, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience managing crews and field operations
- Knowledge of plant material and seasonal maintenance requirements
- Familiarity with estimating and upselling enhancement work
Work Environment
- Combination of field and office work
- Frequent travel between job sites in the Houston area
