Key Account Manager - Exhibition Sales

United Arab Emirates

Job Overview:

  • The role focuses on managing and expanding key client accounts, with a strong emphasis on sales, project management, and client servicing within the exhibitions, events, and interior fit-out industry.
  • The candidate will also lead project execution and support INDEX Design’s growth strategy by developing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Account Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Act as the main point of contact, handling communication and regular check-ins.
  • Understand client needs and align services accordingly to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Keep client portfolios updated and retain existing accounts.

Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve sales targets set by INDEX Design.
  • Generate new business leads through cold calling, networking, exhibitions, and referrals.
  • Upsell services to existing clients and proactively explore revenue growth opportunities.
  • Convert leads into confirmed business, from inquiry to successful delivery and post-sales service.
  • Monitor billing, budgets, and collections.

Project Management

  • Lead project briefing, timeline setting, budgeting, and coordination between clients and internal departments (design, production, operations).
  • Oversee entire project lifecycle for exhibition stands, fit-outs, or related projects—both on-site and off-site.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality delivery aligned with client expectations and company standards.
  • Brief internal teams (design, production, logistics) with complete project details.

Marketing, Networking & Reporting

  • Attend exhibitions, conferences, and industry events to represent the company and explore new business opportunities.
  • Support marketing activities related to client engagement and service promotions.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, client markets, and competitor activities.
  • Submit regular reports to management on progress, pipeline status, and project outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years in client account or project management in the exhibition, events, or interior fit-out industry (preferably in the UAE or GCC).
  • Proven success in sales, project execution, and long-term client retention.
  • Valid UAE driving license and own car (field visits are required).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Deep understanding of exhibition stand production, timelines, and client servicing.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
  • Tech-savvy and fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to deliver results and support the team
