Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager to play a critical role in driving business performance by maximizing margin dollars and growing sales across Turkey. In this role, you will contribute to the sales strategy by developing business plans, managing cost budgets, and monitoring key metrics including sales, margins, accounts receivable, sales orders, and inventories.
Responsibilities
- Find and develop new opportunities, assisting the team in the evaluation of business opportunities and plans to secure orders as well as visiting customers and potential customers
- Direct and grow sales activities in sub-segments of the Thermal segment (that covers Cement, Non-ferrous industry, power industry, Petrochem industry, glass industry)
- Evaluate the effectiveness of sales activities and make necessary changes
- Follow up on installation projects and product testing
- Prepare quotations (material, technical and installation) and market information and communicate to senior management, developing specific plans to ensure revenue growth
Support Calderys' sales activities by identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous process improvement
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. degree in Ceramics, Material Engineering, Engineering or Chemistry
- 2+ years of refractory sales or installation and/or refractory related project execution experience
- Knowledge of refractory materials and related applications and processes, cement industry background is a plus
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge to implement sales and account management best practices and processes
- Computer operation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel expertise
- Interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Analytical skills and the ability to assemble and quickly analyze data
- Industry-specific knowledge coupled with the ability to manage supplier relationships
- Exposure to and demonstrated ability to leverage continuous improvement methodology and metrics
- Strategic thinking and business problem solving skills
- Excellent organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detail
- Requires self-motivation with the ability to adapt quickly
- Willingness to travel
