Job Summary

The Key Accounts Executive / Asst. Key Accounts Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic retail and hypermarket accounts within the supermarket segment. This role focuses on building strong partnerships with major vendors, achieving sales targets, maximizing product visibility, profitability of the brand or category, and ensuring category growth across Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key retail and hypermarket partners
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Negotiate pricing, promotions, trade terms, and agreements.
  • Sales & Business Growth
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales/purchase targets and revenue objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and recommend strategies to increase market share.
  • Monitor distributor and retailer sales performance.
  • Category & Trade Planning
  • Build yearly, quarterly, and monthly business plans for key accounts.
  • Execute category plans and product launches in coordination with marketing and supply chain.
  • Analyze category performance and recommend improvements.
  • Promotions & POS Execution
  • Plan and implement promotional campaigns, displays, pricing strategies, and in-store visibility initiatives.
  • Coordinate with stores and field teams to ensure correct planogram execution.
  • Track promotional effectiveness and ROI.
  • Reporting & Analytics
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and performance reports.
  • Perform market analysis, competitor tracking, and pricing intelligence.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to ensure smooth execution of orders and plans.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, retail agreements, and quality standards.

Experience

  • Key Accounts Executive: 3–4 years of experience in retail, FMCG, or key account management (hypermarket/supermarket focus preferred).
  • Key Accounts Manager: 5+ years of experience with strong track record in managing retail chains, preferably in the supermarket/hypermarket category.
