Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Sunday school lessons based on Christian Scripture, tailored to children ages 3–7 (e.g., incorporating stories, crafts, songs, and interactive activities).
- Manage a small classroom group (up to 3–10 children), ensuring a safe, inclusive, and fun atmosphere during the 10:00 AM–12:00 PM service time.
- Coordinate setup and cleanup of classroom materials, including props, snacks, and supplies.
- Collaborate with church staff and parents to communicate lesson themes and provide feedback on children's spiritual growth.
- Occasionally assist with special events, like holiday-themed sessions, while keeping the focus on weekly Sundays.
Qualifications:
- A committed Christian faith and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Experience working with young children (ages 3–7), such as in teaching, childcare, or children's ministry (volunteer experience welcome).
- Strong communication skills and creativity in lesson planning; familiarity with Bible stories and child development principles is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check (required for child safety).
- Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic—energy for play-based learning is essential!
- No formal degree required, but early childhood education certification or equivalent is preferred.
