About the student

• kindergarten & 3rd grade student, siblings
• The students needs to work with a tutor for support with ELA, math and a little bit of science for the 3rd grader.
• The students both attend Liberty Elementary and they are both experiencing challenges in reading and math. The family wants consistent, targeted instruction, so both students can strengthen their skills and build confidence.
• The 3rd grade brother struggles with reading comprehension, fluency, and applying math concepts such as multiplication basics and word problems. He also needs general support for science.
• The sister in kindergarten is working on foundational skills including letter recognition, phonics, number sense, and counting, but needs additional support to keep pace with grade-level expectations.
• The main goal is for both students to achieve grade-level proficiency in reading and math and feel successful in school.
• Family wants 2 hour sessions 2 times a week (1 hour per student), between 4:30pm-7pm, on either Tuesday, Thursday or Friday.
• Family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in Franklin near Hodge Cemetery.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates have prior experience working with elementary students.
• Ideal candidates will have prior experience teaching/tutoring elementary ELA & math skills.
• Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
• Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.

Student Availability

TUE & THUR & FRI: 4:30pm-7:00pm

Pay & Benefits

• $25.00-$30.00 per hour
