Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for young children. You will be responsible for implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, managing classroom activities, and collaborating with parents to ensure each child’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and foster early childhood development.
- Classroom Management: Create a safe, orderly, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and supports diverse learning needs.
- Instruction: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons using a variety of teaching methods, including hands-on activities, storytelling, and educational games.
- Assessment: Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing regular feedback to parents and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Individual Support: Identify and address the individual needs of each student, providing additional support to those who may require it.
- Parent Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians, addressing concerns and providing updates on student progress.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers and staff to support a cohesive learning experience and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Classroom Maintenance: Organise and maintain classroom materials and resources, ensuring a clean and organised learning space.
- Safety: Adhere to school policies and procedures regarding child safety and emergency protocols.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience teaching or working with young children in a classroom setting preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
