Overview

Duties

- Use innovative teaching methods such as Montessori or other progressive approaches to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse needs, including working with individuals with autism.
- Assess student progress regularly through standardized testing, formative assessments, and informal observations; adjust instruction accordingly.
- Mentor and collaborate with fellow educators, providing guidance on curriculum development, classroom management, and instructional best practices.
- Engage families through regular communication about student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones; foster strong home-school partnerships.
- Utilize learning technology tools effectively to enhance lesson planning and literacy education while supporting children’s digital literacy skills.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently to ensure a safe, organized environment conducive to active learning.
- Support library services by integrating storytime activities that promote literacy skills and a love for reading.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings or private schools.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and library services.
- Experience implementing behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies effectively.
- Familiarity with special education practices, including working with children with autism or other developmental needs.
- Knowledge of teaching physical education activities that promote motor skills development and overall health.
- Background in tutoring or working individually with students to support personalized learning goals.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators professionally and clearly.
- Experience using learning technology platforms to facilitate lesson planning and student assessment tools.
