Position Overview
Open Concepts Kitchens & Baths is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to support residential kitchen, bath, and interior design projects. This role focuses on design development, material selections, and client experience, working collaboratively with our internal project management and construction teams.
The Interior Designer will guide clients through aesthetic and functional decisions while ensuring selections align with Open Concepts’ design standards, budgets, and buildability requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesInterior Design & Selections
- Design kitchens, baths, and interior spaces including cabinetry layouts and finish concepts
- Prepare elevations, renderings, and selections presentations
- Guide clients through cabinetry, countertops, tile, fixtures, hardware, and finish selections
- Develop cohesive material palettes aligned with project style and budget
- Ensure design intent aligns with construction feasibility and product specifications
Client Experience
- Participate in client consultations and showroom meetings
- Present design concepts, materials, and options clearly and professionally
- Support clients through selection decisions and revisions
- Maintain organized selections documentation and approvals
Materials & Product Specification
- Specify cabinetry, finishes, fixtures, and interior materials
- Prepare selections sheets and product documentation
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers on product options
- Ensure selections meet performance, durability, and budget goals
Collaboration
- Work closely with OCKB project managers and OCC construction team
- Support custom homes, renovations, and spec home selections
- Assist with showroom merchandising and product displays
- Contribute to project photography and marketing selections boards
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years residential interior design or kitchen & bath design experience
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry, finishes, and interior materials
- Proficiency in design software (Chief Architect, 2020, SketchUp, or similar)
- Excellent aesthetic judgment and space planning ability
- Strong client communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
Preferred
- Kitchen & Bath or showroom design experience
- Residential construction or design-build exposure
- Experience with cabinetry brands and material vendors
- Knowledge of Seacoast residential market
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
