Kitchen and Bath Designer

Cabinet Discounters is a long standing, family-owned business, that has continued to serve the community with their remodeling needs for over 40 years. We are currently looking to expand our design/sales team in the Mount Airy, MD showroom. The ideal candidate is an experienced design/sales professional who values a consultative sales approach; listening to clients needs, identifying and providing creative solutions, and maintaining communication with clients throughout the life cycle of the project. This position is a satisfying role for someone who is passionate about design, motivated by sales, and possesses a service focused mindset. We offer a competitive base salary and performance bonuses, providing unlimited income potential with no cap. On average, our designers earn between 50k and 100k annually. Health, life, dental and vision insurance. 401(k) matching contributions, paid time off (PTO).

Responsibilities:

• Engaging with and qualifying leads
• Educating clients about our process, services, and products
• Consulting with clients to determine their desired project goals and provide solutions
• Producing designs and estimating material and labor costs; preparing proposals and contracts
• Performing site visits
• Managing clients accounts including maintaining communication and addressing concerns/issues
• Assisting with showroom organization

Qualifications/Skills:

• Self- motivated and comfortable taking initiative
• Information seeking; asks questions and proactively engages in the process
• Excellent account management and sales skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to think creatively; solution- seeking
• Computer skills including familiarity with MS Office
• Mathematical skills for accurate measurements and cost calculations

Strong preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

Experience working in the kitchen and bath remodeling industry, interior design, sales, customer service.

Experience with 2020 Design, or similar software.
