Duties

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Support cooking processes by following recipes and instructions from chefs or kitchen managers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
• Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to prevent spoilage and contamination
• Contribute to meal service by plating dishes or assisting with serving when needed
• Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation practices
• Support catering events or special functions by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup and cleanup

Skills

• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and knife skills for efficient food preparation
• Experience in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment
• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with food service operations
• Knowledge of the food industry’s best practices for safety, sanitation, and quality control
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing multiple tasks under pressure
• Basic understanding of culinary principles and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
• Enthusiasm for learning new skills within a culinary setting and a positive attitude toward teamwork

Pay: $22.13 - $25.00 per hour
