Cabinetland Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeling – Schaumburg, IL

Cabinetland Kitchen and Bathroom Remodeling is a growing renovation showroom in Schaumburg, IL specializing in kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, cabinetry design, and interior home renovation projects. We work with mid-to-upper-class homeowners to design and complete beautiful, functional living spaces.

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen & Bath Designer / Interior Renovation Designer who can design kitchens, bathrooms, and other interior spaces, present ideas to homeowners, and confidently guide clients from consultation to signed renovation contracts.

This role combines design and sales, and is ideal for someone who enjoys both creative design work and closing renovation projects in a professional showroom environment.

Compensation

$80,000 – $110,000 per year
(includes base pay and commission earnings)

Compensation includes:

Successful designers typically earn $80,000–$110,000 annually depending on performance, with additional income potential for strong sales performers.

Expected schedule:
40 hours per week including Saturdays

What You Will Do

Client Consultation

  • Meet with homeowners in the showroom to understand their renovation goals
  • Conduct project consultations and establish realistic budgets
  • Evaluate project scope and discuss design possibilities

Design Development

  • Create kitchen, bathroom, and interior renovation layouts
  • Develop design concepts and prepare professional presentations
  • Assist clients with selections including cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, lighting, and finishes

Project Sales & Closing

  • Present designs, scope of work, and pricing to clients
  • Guide homeowners through design decisions and project options
  • Confidently present proposals and close renovation contracts

Design Workflow

Designers manage projects through the following workflow:

Consultation → Design → Proposal → Contract → Cabinet Ordering → Installation Coordination

Coordination

  • Prepare cabinet orders and project documentation
  • Communicate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Track product orders and delivery timelines

Jobsite visits and project management responsibilities arelimited.

Projects You Will Work On

  • Kitchen renovations

  • Cabinetry design and installation
  • Countertops and backsplash projects
  • Interior renovation work related to kitchen and bath remodeling

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of kitchen, bath, or interior renovation design experience
  • 2 Years experience using 2020 Design Flex
  • 2 Years Chief Architect experience
  • Knowledge of cabinetry and residential renovation projects
  • Experience preparing cabinet orders and design documentation

Additional Skills

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong math skills for measurements and pricing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment

Designers work with qualified showroom leads and company marketing leads.
No cold calling required.

Designers focus primarily on design, client consultations, and closing renovation projects while working in a professional showroom environment.
