Day-to-Day Tasks:
- Determine overall design needs while offering a great customer experience
- Build genuine relationships with new/existing customers
- Prospect for new business when necessary
- Schedule appointments for client design consultations
- Keep up to date with current products & services provided
- Collaborate on design ideas, compute budget ranges & select various finishes
- Create detailed drawings using 20/20 software
- Measure spaces, estimate materials, present proposals, manage payments & oversee project quality
- Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications & availability
- Accurately & efficiently translate measurements into working designs
- Collaborating with in-house team of tradesmen & project managers
- Keep the showroom clean, organized & on trend.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years' proven work experience in Interior Design, Kitchen & Bath Design or Showroom Sales (REQUIRED)
- Knowledge of 20/20 design software (REQUIRED)
- Valid driver's license & reliable form of transportation (REQUIRED)
- Certification or degree in interior design and/or architectural design a plus
- Fundamental tech, social media & math skills
- Achieving sales goals effectively
- Positive, communicative & motivated to help grow the business.
- Critical thinking & problem-solving abilities
- Personal & professional judgment
- Quick to help customers get what they need
- Organizational skills & the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
- Time management skills & detailed oriented
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
