Kitchen Designer

Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Kitchen Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for interior design and a strong understanding of kitchen layouts, renovations, and high-end sales. Working knowledge of 2020 is major plus. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing expert guidance in designing functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen spaces. This role requires excellent communication skills, a solid background in sales, and proficiency in design software. Commission will be available beyond base pay.

Duties

• Collaborate with clients to assess their kitchen design needs and preferences.
• Create detailed kitchen layouts
• Develop innovative design concepts that incorporate functionality, aesthetics, and client requirements.
• Conduct outside sales activities to promote kitchen design services and products.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to ensure satisfaction and profitability.
• Provide product demonstrations and educate clients on materials, appliances, and fixtures.
• Manage account relationships to foster repeat business through exceptional customer service.
• Assist with the renovation process by coordinating with contractors and overseeing project timelines.
• Utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Engage in upselling opportunities by recommending complementary products or services during the design process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in kitchen design, interior design, or related fields.
• Proficiency in 2020.
• Strong negotiation skills with a focus on high-end sales techniques.
• Knowledge of construction processes, renovation practices, and lighting design principles.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Experience in retail sales, including cashiering, customer service, and product merchandising.
• Familiarity with retail math for accurate pricing and inventory management.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for project estimates and budgeting.
• Strong organizational skills to manage client projects effectively from inception to completion.
