We are currently hiring a Kitchen Designer for our locations in Unionville and Manchester, CT. In person or hybrid - details to be discussed.

The Kitchen Designer will be responsible for creating functional, aesthetically pleasing kitchen designs while guiding customers through the entire design and sales process. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical knowledge, and customer service to meet client needs and achieve company goals.

Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Kitchen Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the creative force behind designing beautiful, functional kitchens that meet our clients’ needs and exceed their expectations. Your expertise in layout design, renovation, and high-end sales will help transform spaces and inspire confidence in every customer interaction.

Duties

  • Provide superior customer service by establishing and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring a positive experience from initial consultation through project completion
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget for kitchen projects.
  • Design kitchen layouts using design software (2020), ensuring functionality, code compliance, and visual appeal.
  • Prepare detailed kitchen plans, including cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and fixtures.
  • Generate accurate quotes and proposals using manufacturer pricing software.
  • Present designs, product options, and pricing to customers and follow up to close sales.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers during remodeling or renovation projects to ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain organized project files, manage account details, and follow up on customer inquiries promptly.

Experience

  • Proven experience in kitchen or interior design with a strong portfolio showcasing layout design and remodeling projects.
  • Proficiency with design software (e.g., 2020 Design or similar) and general computer skills.
  • Demonstrated success in high-end sales environments with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, renovation procedures, and maintenance requirements.
  • Strong communication skills combined with organizational abilities to manage multiple projects efficiently.
