Job Title: Kitchen Equipment Technician
Work Criteria: (Approx. 6,000 Occupants)
Department: Maintenance / Facility Management
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Camp Manager
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance & Repair
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of all kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, hot plates, steamers, bain-maries, hot cabinets, mixers, and blenders.
- Troubleshoot and repair walk-in chillers, freezers, and other refrigeration systems.
- Ensure all electrical kitchen appliances are functioning safely and efficiently.
- Replace defective parts such as thermostats, heating elements, compressors, motors, and switches.
2. Preventive Maintenance
- Implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all kitchen and cold room equipment to minimize breakdowns.
- Record all maintenance and repair activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements for reliability.
3. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, hygiene standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct safety checks on electrical connections and ensure grounding and insulation are intact.
- Support QHSE requirements by maintaining equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
4. Inventory & Documentation
- Maintain records of spare parts, tools, and consumables used.
- Assist in preparing material requests (MRs) for parts and tools
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Good communication and coordination skills
