About the Role

A well-established restaurant is seeking dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Helpers & Prep Staff to support daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidates should have basic kitchen knowledge, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth food preparation processes and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs in basic food preparation tasks such as cutting, chopping, and portioning ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times
• Wash, peel, and prepare vegetables and other ingredients as required
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items
• Support in receiving and organizing kitchen supplies and inventory
• Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly
• Follow instructions from chefs and kitchen supervisors efficiently
• Assist in maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
• Dispose of waste properly and ensure a tidy work environment
• Support overall kitchen operations to ensure timely food service

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment preferred
• Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Good attitude, discipline, and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a kitchen helper, commis, or prep staff
• Basic knowledge of food safety standards
• Ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
• Experience working in high-volume restaurant environments
