Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high-quality standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff by providing training, coaching, and ongoing development to foster a motivated and efficient team.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste using systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to maintain a safe dining environment.
- Coordinate shift management duties such as scheduling staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring smooth service during peak hours.
- Implement food production standards for casual dining, fine dining, catering, and banquet services to ensure consistency across all offerings.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and oversee cash handling procedures during shifts.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting efforts, cost control initiatives, and menu planning to optimize profitability.
- Lead customer service initiatives by maintaining high standards of hospitality and addressing guest feedback promptly.
- Conduct staff interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a strong culinary team aligned with company values.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in kitchen management within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments.
- Strong culinary skills with expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and inventory management.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on staff training & development in a hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices aligned with industry regulations.
- Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing operational efficiencies in a restaurant environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work culture.
- Background in hospitality management or restaurant management preferred; experience in hotel or bar settings is a plus.
