Reports to: Sous Chef/ Head Chef
Job Purpose:
The Kitchen Porter is responsible for the heavy cleaning, organization of food and non - food items and garbage, trash and waste control to contribute to the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant.
Job Accountabilities:
- Ensure that the restaurant kitchen produces a high quality of clean utensils and materials
- Monitor all food storage facilities to ensure that proper storage techniques are being used and that the cleanliness standards of the restaurant are being maintained.
- Ensure the storage is acceptable of all cleaning materials and cleaning utensils
- Complete all work responsibilities and assignments in a timely manner.
- Maintain your self-appearance in accordance with the restaurant’s grooming standards.
- Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team.
- Maintain an acceptable degree of knowledge regarding all kitchen machinery.
- Prepare all food products were directed by one of the chefs or apprentices.
- Maintain effective par stock levels for all cleaning products.
- Comply with all the established restaurant operational policies & procedures.
- Maintain a clean & safe working environment.
- Ensure the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment within the kitchen
- Perform any cleaning duties as outline in the cleaning roster or by the manager or executive chef.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the Head Chef/ Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to QAR1,200.00 per month
