Reports to: Sous Chef/ Head Chef

Job Purpose:

The Kitchen Porter is responsible for the heavy cleaning, organization of food and non - food items and garbage, trash and waste control to contribute to the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that the restaurant kitchen produces a high quality of clean utensils and materials
  • Monitor all food storage facilities to ensure that proper storage techniques are being used and that the cleanliness standards of the restaurant are being maintained.
  • Ensure the storage is acceptable of all cleaning materials and cleaning utensils
  • Complete all work responsibilities and assignments in a timely manner.
  • Maintain your self-appearance in accordance with the restaurant’s grooming standards.
  • Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team.
  • Maintain an acceptable degree of knowledge regarding all kitchen machinery.
  • Prepare all food products were directed by one of the chefs or apprentices.
  • Maintain effective par stock levels for all cleaning products.
  • Comply with all the established restaurant operational policies & procedures.
  • Maintain a clean & safe working environment.
  • Ensure the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment within the kitchen
  • Perform any cleaning duties as outline in the cleaning roster or by the manager or executive chef.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the Head Chef/ Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to QAR1,200.00 per month
