Donatello’s The Urban Trattoria is seeking reliable and hardworking Kitchen Staff to join our team in Downtown Winder. Our kitchen focuses on modern Italian cuisine featuring house-made pasta, artisan pizza, and fresh ingredients in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy being part of a kitchen team, and are willing to contribute wherever needed—from prep work and line support to maintaining a clean and organized dish station.

Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation

• Assist with daily prep work including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, preparing sauces, and organizing mise en place.
• Support the kitchen team in maintaining adequate prep levels for service.
• Follow recipes and kitchen standards to ensure consistent quality.

Line Support

• Assist cooks during service with plating, garnish, ingredient preparation, and stocking stations.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to maintain smooth service flow.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness at prep and cooking stations.

Dishwashing & Sanitation

• Operate the dishwashing station efficiently, ensuring all dishes, cookware, and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Maintain a clean and organized dish area throughout service.
• Assist with removing trash, recycling, and maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness.

Kitchen Organization

• Help receive and properly store deliveries.
• Rotate ingredients following FIFO (first-in, first-out) practices.
• Assist with closing duties including cleaning equipment, sweeping, and sanitizing workstations.

QualificationsRequired

• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Willingness to assist with multiple tasks including prep, line support, and dishwashing
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred

• Previous kitchen, prep cook, or dishwasher experience
• Familiarity with Italian cuisine or pizza kitchens
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
