Overview
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling, and organizing ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Support cooking processes by following instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dining areas to facilitate efficient service during busy hours
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices at all times
- Support banquet or event setups by preparing ingredients and assisting with large-scale food service needs
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely delivery of orders
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, food preparation techniques, and safety protocols is advantageous
- Experience in banquet service or hotel kitchens can be a plus but is not required
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for working effectively within a team
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is important for maintaining quality and compliance
- Prior experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles will support excellent service delivery
