Join us in the kitchen as we launch our newest breakfast location!
We are looking for passionate and experienced kitchen staff — including cooks, prep cooks, and line staff — to join our team at Sunnyside Social. You will be preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes for our guests to enjoy each morning.
You are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through good, quality food. With previous experience in a kitchen setting, you are able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere. Ideally, you have your ServSafe or Food Handler's certification.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
- Store and cook food at correct temperatures by regulating ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
- Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
- Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking
- Support all kitchen roles as needed, including prep, line, and dish — we are a team!
- Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen preferred (cook, prep cook, line cook, or similar)
- ServSafe or Food Handler's certification (or must be willing to attain)
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Ability to work standing for 8+ hours
- Enthusiasm for breakfast food and a positive energy to match our Sunnyside vibe!
