Kitchen Staff - Lebanese Cuisine

Job Summary:

The Commis Chef assists in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes under the supervision of senior chefs. This role is an entry-level kitchen position designed to support daily operations, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure consistency in food quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items in accordance with recipes and standards.

  • Support senior chefs in all sections of the kitchen as required.

  • Ensure high levels of cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.

  • Properly store and label all food items and maintain stock rotation.

  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.

  • Learn and develop new cooking techniques and skills.

  • Assist with receiving and checking deliveries to ensure quality and quantity.

  • Maintain kitchen equipment in good working condition and report any issues to the supervisor.

  • Work efficiently to support a smooth kitchen operation during service.

Qualifications:

  • Previous kitchen or culinary experience preferred, but not required.

  • Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts is an advantage.

  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety practices.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Work Location:

Must be flexible to work in the UAE.
