
Kitchen Staff/Helper (Japanese Restaurant)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping ingredients.
- Prepare and portion ingredients as instructed by the chef, following Japanese cuisine standards.
- Ensure all ingredients are stored properly and used efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including counters, equipment, and storage areas.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist chefs and cooks during food preparation and service in a Japanese restaurant setting.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Report any safety or maintenance issues to the Chef In Charge/Supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of food safety practices and procedures.
- Good physical condition; able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and work in a Japanese restaurant.
- Available to start work immediately.
