About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Steward to join our team. The role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, handling equipment properly, and supporting smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.
- Wash and store crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen tools.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling properly.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
- Assist with general cleaning of back-of-house areas.
- Handle breakages and hazardous items safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
- Basic English communication (local language preferred).
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience is an advantage.
