Kitchen Steward

Job Summary

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all kitchen areas, utensils, equipment, and storage spaces. The role supports kitchen operations by ensuring all items are properly cleaned and available for use while following health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
  • Operate and maintain dishwashing machines properly.
  • Ensure cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, workstations, shelves, and storage areas.
  • Collect and dispose of garbage according to hygiene and safety procedures.
  • Keep all cleaning equipment and chemicals properly stored and handled safely.
  • Assist in maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas.
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff by providing clean utensils and equipment promptly.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries and supplies.
  • Conduct regular deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and facilities.
  • Report damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.
  • Follow company policies, food safety regulations, and health standards at all times.
  • Assist with additional stewarding or kitchen support duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen cleaning is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.

Pay: QAR1,850.00 - QAR2,000.00 per month
