Job Summary:

Hamsun Hotel is looking for a responsible and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality standards, maintain hygiene practices, and support the culinary team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on kitchen experience, and the ability to manage staff efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations and staff performance
  • Ensure food preparation and presentation meet hotel standards
  • Monitor portion control and minimize food wastage
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards (as per SOPs)
  • Check quality and freshness of ingredients
  • Assist in menu planning and implementation
  • Train and guide kitchen staff
  • Ensure proper storage of food items
  • Coordinate with other departments for smooth service
  • Handle shift scheduling and staff discipline
  • Report any maintenance or equipment issues

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel kitchen operations
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Diploma in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
