Knowledge Management, Governance and Standards Lead

About Contour

Contour Software has grown from a dozen people to over 2,000 staff across 3 cities, in less than 14 years.

As a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc., we are proud to be part of a global enterprise software conglomerate that has grown to become one of the top 10 software companies in the world, with employees and customers in 100+ countries. With a broad-based and ever-growing portfolio of market-leading, vertical-market enterprise solutions covering more than 100 industry domains in predominantly mature markets, CSI's recipe creates the perfect environment for professionals to build fulfilling, long-term careers.

What started as an R&D & Accounting back-office, has progressed into a full-service Global Centre serving all functions and departments, at the divisional as well as operating group/corporate level. Today Contour employees, located in Karachi, Lahore & Islamabad, are serving CSI divisions located in time zones spanning the globe, from Sydney to Vancouver. With the global growth of Constellation as the wind in our sails, we are only just getting started!

The Division:

Andromeda acquires and supports software companies for the long term — providing a permanent home where people and products can thrive. As part of Constellation Software, we combine global scale with an entrepreneurial mindset, investing in leadership, innovation, and durable growth.

We bring together companies and leaders across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Our decentralized structure empowers local teams while connecting them to a global community of operators, insights, and shared experience.

Position Overview:

Andromeda is establishing a formal Knowledge Management (KM) practice to strengthen how critical information is captured and shared, improve findability and reuse, and enable consistent execution across a distributed, acquisition-driven organization.

As the Knowledge Management (KM) Governance and Standards Lead, you will design and implement the foundational KM operating model and deliver day-to-day KM execution. You will also provide guidance on the most effective knowledge hub approach and tooling, while establishing information architecture and content standards, enabling publishing and maintenance workflows, and driving adoption across stakeholders.

This is not an administrative documentation role. The position focuses on creating a trusted and usable system of record, defining how knowledge will be captured and governed, and enabling contributors and users to adopt new behaviors so that knowledge stays current, owned, and easy to reuse.

Key Responsibilities:

KM Discovery & Prioritization:

  • Work with corporate functions and portfolio/business unit stakeholders to identify high-value knowledge domains and priority use cases (e.g., best practices, playbooks, SOPs, onboarding paths).

  • Conduct structured discovery using interviews, workshops, working sessions, and review of existing artifacts.

  • Assess fragmentation/duplication risks and define a practical approach to consolidation, ownership, and “single source of truth.”

  • Translate business priorities into a phased KM delivery plan and backlog.

Knowledge Hub Design (Information Architecture & Taxonomy):

  • Design and maintain the information architecture for the knowledge hub (site/library structures, navigation, page patterns, content types).

  • Define and apply taxonomy/metadata standards, naming conventions, and versioning practices to improve search and reuse.

  • Create and maintain templates for key knowledge asset types (e.g., best practices, playbooks, SOPs, decision records).

  • Ensure the hub is easy to navigate for different audiences

Content Lifecycle Management
:

  • Define and run workflows for content intake, review/approval, publishing, periodic review, and retirement.

  • Establish content ownership expectations (owners, reviewers, update cadences) and ensure published assets have clear accountability.

  • Edit and structure content for clarity, usability, and consistency while ensuring subject matter owners remain accountable for accuracy.

  • Monitor content health and drive remediation (outdated content, missing owners, duplicates).

KM Tooling Enablement (Knowledge Hub Platform):

  • Recommend, configure, and help administer the knowledge hub platform (e.g., Microsoft 365 / SharePoint or an alternative) in partnership with IT, including permissions, spaces/libraries, metadata, navigation, and publishing controls.

  • Improve findability through information architecture, metadata discipline, and search-oriented content patterns within approved tools and constraints.

  • Support integration patterns where appropriate

  • Maintain basic governance controls to keep the hub trusted

Adoption, Change Management & Stakeholder Enablement:

  • Develop and deliver contributor guidance and enablement (job aids, training, publishing “how-to” resources).

  • Drive adoption through communications and feedback loops; gather user pain points and translate them into improvements.

  • Facilitate working sessions with SMEs and stakeholders to build content, clarify standards, and resolve ownership issues.

  • Promote sustained KM behaviors so knowledge stays current rather than becoming a static repository.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement:

  • Define and report KM metrics (adoption/usage, contribution activity, content health, findability/search effectiveness, stakeholder confidence).

  • Maintain an improvement backlog based on analytics and user feedback; iteratively improve structure, templates, and workflows.

  • Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and recommended adjustments to scope or approach.

KM Governance Leadership:

  • Facilitate the KM governance cadence (agenda, pre-reads, materials, and follow-ups) to keep decisions moving and standards consistently applied across functions.

  • Capture decisions and action items, maintain KM standards/documentation (taxonomy rules, lifecycle policies, templates), and track execution—while ensuring decision rights remain with leadership and governance remains focused on risk, quality, and consistency.

Qualification and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Management, Communications, Computer Science, Library/Information Science, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.

  • 5+ years of experience in Knowledge Management, content operations, information architecture, digital workplace, documentation/program enablement, or a closely related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience designing or improving a knowledge repository, including standards, templates, governance, and lifecycle processes.

  • Experience establishing and operating KM governance models (e.g., decision forums/cadences, RACI/decision rights, standards compliance, and action tracking) in a matrixed environment.

  • Hands-on experience implementing or administering a knowledge hub platform (e.g., SharePoint/Microsoft 365 or an equivalent), including site/page/library or space design, permissions, metadata, and structures that improve end-user findability.

  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills; ability to influence without authority across multiple teams.

  • Strong writing and editing skills; ability to create clear standards, playbooks, and contributor guidance.

  • Experience driving adoption/change (training, communications, enablement) for new tools and processes.

  • Ability to operate in ambiguous, build-from-scratch environments and deliver iteratively with strong execution discipline.

  • Familiarity with digital workplace and knowledge tooling ecosystems—and how to integrate KM into day-to-day workflows (e.g., Teams/Viva/Power Automate or comparable tools)—is an advantage.
