Role Overview

We are seeking a 3D Modeling & VR Specialist to join our team. This role is critical to the success of the project due to its complexity and artistic demands. The ideal candidate will contribute to the creation of performance-based VR environments that align with the project’s aesthetic and technical vision.

This is a grant-funded position and is expected to end in April 2026.

About the Project

SentimentVoice Korea is a multidisciplinary initiative that combines virtual reality, emotion AI, and oral history to create immersive live performances based on real immigrant experiences. This innovative project bridges technology and storytelling to deliver powerful, interactive cultural narratives.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality 3D models and textures that meet artistic and technical requirements
• Build and deploy VR environments using Unity
• Optimize VR performance for live, immersive experiences
• Collaborate with faculty and project team members to ensure creative and technical alignment

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio showcasing 3D modeling and texturing expertise
• Proven Unity development experience
• Demonstrated ability to build and deploy performance-based VR environments
• Solid understanding of VR optimization techniques
• Ability to work under tight timelines on a project already in progress

This is a grant-funded position and is expected to end in April 2026.

Hourly Rate: $20/hr
