Minimum Requirements

LLB or LLM in Law

Minimum 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in international legal departments

Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to evolve in an international and challenging environment;

Ability to handle several tasks with pragmatism and reactivity.

Strong team spirit and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Fluent in English and Arabic and know how to negotiate and draft contracts in both languages
Responsibilities
Legal Function
-
Handle all legal affairs and manage legal risks within the Region, with a strong focus on reviewing proposals, offers, and contracts.

Handle corporate matters for all Bureau Veritas legal entities within the area.

Provide legal support for Mergers & Acquisitions and Joint Ventures.

Handle litigation matters with the support of external lawyers when required and management of insurances matters in coordination with the Group Risk and Insurance Department

Assist with debt collection matters
Compliance Function

Coordinate with group compliance teams to align compliance objectives, processes, and goals, ensuring consistent practices across the organization

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities, audits, and investigations

Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters, promoting a culture of integrity, compliance, and transparency throughout the organization

Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations, including privacy laws, international sanctions, and export control rules.
