L2 Network Engineer

We are seeking a qualified and experienced L2 Network Engineer to support, operate, and enhance enterprise network infrastructure. The role focuses on routing, switching, firewall management, and maintaining secure, high-availability network services across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, and wireless networks.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network devices to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Monitor network performance using monitoring and logging tools and proactively resolve issues in line with SLAs.
  • Implement and maintain firewall configurations including security zones, NAT policies, and access control rules.
  • Apply and maintain security controls such as ACLs, port security, segmentation, and VPN configurations (site-to-site & remote access).
  • Support incident response activities including traffic analysis and root cause investigation.
  • Conduct wireless network improvements including coverage optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Perform policy reviews and cleanup activities to ensure compliance and performance efficiency.
  • Coordinate with security teams regarding audits, vulnerability findings, and remediation actions.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers for network upgrades, incidents, and technical support.
  • Provide L2 technical support to IT teams and end users for network-related issues.
  • Participate in on-call support and emergency network changes when required.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in network engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, LAN, WAN, and VPN technologies.
  • Experience in firewall management (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent).
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security principles.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve network performance and security issues efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Cisco certification (CCNP preferred).
    • Awareness of security compliance, audit processes, and vulnerability management.
    • Adaptability to a dynamic and evolving technology environment.
