The lab assistant performs various clinical and administrative tasks including venipuncture, specimen collection, order entry, billing, patient registration, and office duties like answering phones and filing. They also distribute reports, assist with specimen processing, and may conduct waived testing, micro set ups, and load specimens onto instruments, with potential responsibilities for instrument maintenance and quality control depending on shift. The role requires access to confidential patient information, emphasizing the importance of ethical behavior, security, and privacy.

Requirements:
28 hours per week - Second Shift
10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
Every Other Weekend
On - Call Rotation
High School Diploma or GED
BLS/CPR Certification
ASCP Certified Preferred
