ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist lab members and Technology Center Manager with lab operational tasks including but not limited to cleaning dishes, picking up mail, sample intake and inventory, lab inventory management, ordering, autoclaving glassware, and other housekeeping tasks.
- Willing and able to assist with routine laboratory tasks such as weighing samples, freeze-drying, growth media and assay solution preparation, preparation of sample vials and tubes to facilitate sampling activities.
- Assist Technology Center Manager with laboratory safety walkthroughs, managing safety station supplies, and other lab operational tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES
- Minimum of HS Diploma with previous laboratory work experience required. An associate’s degree in biology, chemistry, or other life science is preferred. Compensation of $40,000 to $45,000 per year based on previous experience.
- Communicate with high-level proficiency across all platforms—written, verbal, and digital. Able to convey technical information clearly and professionally to colleagues and Technology Center manager.
- Beginner proficiency in MS Office Suite for data management, reporting, and presentations.
- Manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong follow-up and follow-through skills to complete assigned objectives.
- Demonstrate courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with CTE management staff and colleagues.
- Deals effectively with others in high stress, high-tension situations. Maintains stable performance under pressure and handles stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and to the organization.
- Maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in personal work tasks or work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.

- Must be willing to work a 40-hours per week.
- Must be able to work in a lab environment and can wear all necessary personal protective equipment.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
