Job Title: Lab Technician
Department: Pathology
Location: Apple Hospital, Indore
Reporting to: Head Pathologist

Job Summary:

The Pathology Lab Technician is responsible for performing laboratory tests, sample collection, processing, analysis, and documentation in accordance with established hospital and NABL/NABH standards to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, label, and process blood, urine, stool, sputum, and other clinical samples following proper aseptic techniques.
• Perform routine and specialized laboratory investigations including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, and histopathology tests.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery of test results.
• Maintain daily logs, quality control records, and other required documentation.
• Adhere to infection control, biosafety, and waste disposal protocols.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and patients for sample collection or report clarifications.
• Assist in stock management of reagents, chemicals, and consumables.
• Support in maintaining NABH/NABL compliance documentation and participate in audits.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and uphold hospital ethics at all times.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: DMLT / BMLT / MLT from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory setting
• Skills:
• Knowledge of laboratory instruments and test procedures.
• Good understanding of quality control standards.
• Basic computer and report entry skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
